WHAT CAN CROSSFIT DO FOR YOU?

CrossFit is a science-backed, world renowned strength and conditioning programme centred on using functional movements at mixed intensities to provide a broad, non-specialised, inclusive fitness no matter what your history.

​CrossFit aims to raise your General Physical Preparedness (GPP) so you can face the unknown without being unprepared, need to move a friend’s sofa? – simple, boss wants you to do a charity run? – easy. The core of this training is in the ten general physical skills:
CARDIO
Picture
Cardiovascular / respiratory endurance = the ability of body systems to gather, process & deliver oxygen.
STRENGTH
Picture
​The productive application of force.
STAMINA
Picture
The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilise energy.
FLEXIBILITY
Picture
The ability to maximise the range of motion at a given joint.
POWER
Picture
The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.
SPEED
Picture
The ability to minimise the time cycle of a repeated movement.
COORDINATION
Picture
The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.
AGILITY 
Picture
The ability to minimise transition time from one movement pattern to another.
BALANCE
Picture
The ability to control the placement of the bodies centre of gravity in relation to its support base.
ACCURACY
Picture
The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.
By working on these areas you will have a fitness that is not only relevant to your daily life but you will be less prone to injury and more versatile and adaptable in less regimented scenarios, such as combat, sports and survival situations – or even just working in the garden!
